This October, there is an opportunity to do this greater work as we join in on Awaken Forsyth – a 31-day experience joining with multiple churches in our area to pray for every household in Forsyth Country. It is 31 days of taking time daily to pray for revival in people’s lives, for the Holy Spirit to bring power to do what we cannot do – change hearts.
Through this time, each person who signs up will receive a list of 100 households by name to intercede for over the course of October. That is about 3 households a day. Asking God to bless them and reveal Himself to them in new ways. It is asking God to bring salvation to those who do not yet know Him and to then to be led to churches where they can be loved and discipled in Christ. Pray as the Holy Spirit leads to pray for each one specifically.
All of these households are in the area directly around Bridges. That means we are praying for our neighbors. Wouldn’t it be exciting to see people come to Bridges whom You prayed for during this time? To know that you had a part to play in their new lives?
But there is more. We are asking you to pray for Bridges daily as well to see revival happen in our church, our personal lives, and our families. We are asking you to pray for yourself too – seeking a deeper love for God and greater growth in your walk with Him, to be on mission with Him in restoring a lost and broken world.
It is my prayer that this time will be fruitful and that it extends well beyond the end of October.
We are looking for 50 people to join in as we specifically pray for 5,000 households as a church.
