How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! Psalm 133:1  

This is a season when we are focusing on being Better Together! It is truly good & pleasant when God’s people live together in unity! It is something you sense and others can sense it as well. It is evidence of the love of God working and bringing together. When you walk into a room, you just know .. God is here. It comes from being one.  

Being Better Together is something you will see at Bridges in several ways in the weeks to come.  

  1. Staying with One Service at 10:30am. It has been an overwhelming experience to have everyone together in the Worship Service, worshipping together from the youngest to the eldest, sharing the Word together, and doing life together. Because of all that we will continue to have only one service for the foreseeable future. 
  2. Small Groups Start September 7. We grow better together in large settings and in smaller ones too. We need each other to grow as followers of Jesus and to live life to the fullest. It’s all about relationships, and Small Groups are where they happen best. Sign ups begin today and will continue over the next few weeks. Join a group and experience being better together. 
  3. 5th Sunday Meal, August 31st following the worship service. The early church shared meals together in a close knit, loving and life giving community, so we are following their lead. This time we are having sub sandwiches. This is another opportunity to get to know other people and just enjoy being together. 
  4. Multiply 2025  Celebration – August 31. On that same Sunday, we will celebrate what God has done through the Multiply 2025 Campaign as we use our gifts, interests, and time to help raise funds for Bridging the Gap, our nonprofit, featuring the Backpack Program & Inspiring Hope Learning Center. Celebrating together is another way to be better together. That day we will be taking up “above & beyond” donations with our offerings, and announce the total! 
  5. The Inspiring Hope Learning Center Opening Day – September 2 bringing the volunteers, students, and families all back together again too. It’s been a good summer, but now it’s time to get started again. You can be part of this great community as well. We are better together as we serve!  

So much to look forward to in the weeks to come, and these are just some of the things going on. God is working! We are truly better together.
