Is Your Soul at Peace?
The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord. - Lamentations 3:25, 26
Is your soul quiet today?
Are you at peace?
Are you able to able to function without worry?
Are you able to wait for God or are you trying to push Him along?
Is your soul at peace?
We live in a fast-paced world, a world that contains great beauty and joy but also one where there is confusion and chaos and strife and stress. Are you able to navigate this world and be at peace at the same time?
Are you able to silence the noise inside and be quiet?
God is so good. He is good for those who wait for Him, who do not try to run ahead or try to force His Hand. He is good to those whose soul seeks Him and looks for Him in the good and bad.
He brings salvation to those who seek Him. There is a solution coming. There is an answer ahead. He already knows the outcome. He is working in all for good. Be at rest and wait for Him.
Today, this morning, waking up at 3:30am due to an alarm mishap, I was awake, but my soul was not quiet. It was already running and worrying and stewing and thinking and planning and figuring out and wrestling, and not at rest. It took time to quiet my soul and just be. It took some prayer and some Scripture and Words of God and reflection and quiet and surrender.
And then the peace came and the assurance that it is not up to me but up to Him. I just needed to be quiet before and wait on Him. He showed up. He always shows up.
He is good to the one who seeks Him, to the one who waits quietly for Him.
Today, be quiet in your soul. Cast all your cares on Him and wait and be at peace.
