“Love one another as I have loved you.” -  John 15:12
“Encourage one another and build each other up.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Over 50 times in the New Testament there are "One Another” verses like these. Love one another is reciprocal; “I love you and I accept your love.”

A pastor once preached on the parable of the Good Samaritan, making the point that at different times in life, every one of us is like the man lying on the side of the road, in need of care. The pastor emphasized that during those times, we truly need to accept care from others.

When preaching about David, a pastor talked about how we sometimes think so much about him as king that we overlook that he was human. He struggled at times and wasn’t afraid to express his grief, pain, and sorrow in the psalms. Through expressing himself, David was able to live as a man after God’s own heart.

Our prayer is that when anyone is going through life difficulties, they will reach out and accept help so that Bridges Church can be the loving, caring Christian community that God has called us to be.
