Do you ever find yourself in a season where life just doesn’t make sense? You’ve prayed, you’ve waited, and yet the answers seem hidden. I know I’ve been there. And honestly, it’s hard.

That’s why the song “You’ve Already Won” has been such a comfort to me. One line in particular has stuck with me:

“I don’t know what you're doing, but I know what you've done.”

Those words capture the tension of faith so perfectly. We don’t always know what God is doing in the moment—but we can always look back at what He’s already done. And it’s the same truth Scripture has been declaring for generations.

When life feels confusing, God gently reminds us that His perspective is far greater than ours. Isaiah 55:8–9 says:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Faith doesn’t mean having everything figured out. It means trusting God’s heart—even when His hand is hard to see. That’s why Scripture defines faith this way: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

Think about Abraham. God told him to leave his home and go to a land that He would show him. Abraham didn’t know the details, but he trusted God enough to take the first step. Later, when God promised him descendants as numerous as the stars—even though he and Sarah were far beyond childbearing years—Abraham chose to believe. Scripture says,

“Abraham believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness” (Genesis 15:6).

That’s the invitation for us, too. We may not understand what God is doing right now, but we can anchor ourselves in His faithfulness. The cross is the ultimate proof—Jesus already fought the battle, and He already won.

So let me encourage you this week: when you face the unknown, don’t let fear or doubt have the final word. Instead, remember what God has already done in your life. Remember His provision, His mercy, His grace. And keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking—because Jesus promises in Matthew 7:7–8 that when we come to Him, He responds. He hears, He answers, and He opens doors in His perfect time.

Even when the plan is unclear, God’s faithfulness never is. Rest in what He’s already done and let Him guide your next step.
