Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." - Matthew 19:14

We are excited about a new opportunity to serve our community. As you might know, with our local schools being online now, many students are finding it very difficult to learn and keep up with their assignments.

Imprints Cares has been serving our community for over 50 years, and since Covid-19 hit, they have been working hard to help students by creating remote learning centers throughout the area with skilled and professional staff, using church and nonprofit facilities.

Bridges was approached about becoming one of those sites, specifically serving the students at Old Town Elementary School, and because of the great need and incredible opportunity to serve others, we are moving forward with an agreement with Imprints and Old Town Elementary to make this happen.

Imprints will use the classrooms located in the Worship Center, and our facility will be home to a maximum of fifty students with a staff/student ratio of 6:1 or less. The school district will supply breakfast and lunch each day, and the facility will be used Monday - Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm daily. They plan to start Monday, September 28 and will not interfere with any of our scheduled church activities.

Over the years, we have been impressed by the work and staff of Imprints, their expertise, professionalism, attention to detail and heart for the community. They will have strict restrictions in place due to Covid-19 and will screen the students and staff daily and clean the facility at the end of each day. Most importantly they wil help bring hope to families who are struggling.

This is a great way for Bridges to continue our relationship with Old Town Elementary established from the very start of Bridges. It is also a great way for us to show the love of Jesus for all.

Please be in prayer for this new initiative, for the staff of Imprints and Old Town Elementary and for the students and families who will be served.

What an exciting opportunity and use of our building.
