Multiply 3.0 - the Next Level concludes next week - Sunday, August 22. One more week to finish everything up. For everyone who has raised money you can bring it in this Sunday or next - or mail it in to arrive by the 22nd.

Several weeks ago, we gave out just about $3,000, and you have been putting it together in some very creative ways - eggs & chickens, a yard sale, all kinds of very interesting things for sale like fire starters, perennials, peanuts, tacquitos, pickle balls, etc. plus some very cool items in a silent auction, a 100 mile challenge, a raffle, and so many other things.

There is still time on many of these things - like the Bennett's "triathlon", the silent auction, the shop, the fundraisers . . . you can check them out at . . .

You can also still sign up for the Cornhole Tournament happening August 21 - you can sign up here:

A lot of work has gone into this, and it's important to remember the "why" behind it all.

Everything we raise will go to two projects:

  1. First, the Bridging the Gap Ministry Center - our food pantry, clothes closet and back pack programs that supply basic necessities to people in our community.
  2. Second, for the establishment of a Child Development Program to help children in our community discover and live out their God given callings.

These ministries are transformative - helping people in need to not only receive the daily necessities of life but also to find the God who loves them and to find hope in Him. Everything we do is for that reason.

God has a heart for those in need and calls us as His followers to do whatever we can to help. That is what Multiply 3.0 has been all about.

God has some very clear things to say about helping those in need - here are just a few of the verses:

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.

- Proverbs 31:8-9

If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?

- 1 John 3:17

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

- Deuteronomy 15:11

“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

- Luke 12:32-34

So let's finish strong. Let's ask ourselves what we can do to help. Let's give ourselves to the work God has for us.

I have often asked myself why God has us where He does. Why are we in the Old Town area? And the best answer I have is to be a witness and a conduit of His great love for people. We are here because He has a mission for us here. That includes taking care of those in need, and there are many here in our community.

We are to be His hands & feet, His people to love and care for those who need it.

That is why we have done Multiplty 3.0.

So we have one more week to go. Give it your best. Spread the word - do what you can. Pray for God's provision. Trust God to provide and open doors. Let's see what He will do.

In a week or so, we will see what comes in, what the total amount will be. And we will give God the glory for all that He does.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who has helped out, supported, contributed, and encouraged us along the way. It has been a great adventure and I am excited to hear and see all that comes out of Multiply 3.0 - the Next Level!
